Loaded's SugarCRM Implementation Process

The process for implementing a CRM is split into a number of key milestones from initial CRM goals and requirements gathering; implementation and configuration of SugarCRM to fit your business processes, import of your data, training of staff and finally rollout and ongoing support.

Loaded follows a 5 step process to design and implement your new SugarCRM:

Stage 1: Consult

The initial consultation (or scoping) process is critical in providing value from your new CRM system. It involves consultation with key personnel, project scheduling and budgeting, identification of your current business processes and how they can be modeled within SugarCRM. We work with you to identify your CRM needs and goals and prioritize your business requirements; the technology is the enabler and comes after.

The typical areas that are looked at during this phase include:

  1. Identification of the key focuses for your business. It may be that you are looking to focus on the sales process, support systems, relationship management or any other areas within the business
  2. Identification of any SugarCRM configuration that needs to be done. This may include customisation of layouts and addition of any custom fields that are needed.

  3. Identification of any workflows that need to be implemented. A workflow may include the automatic update of fields or email notifications. Our team will also make suggestions as to how your business processes can be streamlined or automated by the use of the workflows.

  4. Identification of your CRM integration and customisation needs. In modern work environments, business application integration is not just helpful and convenient; it has become a business necessity. Streamline your business workflows by integrating your CRM with other core systems that help to run your business: your website, accounting systems, marketing applications, ERP, business intelligence tools or ecommerce platforms.

Stage 2: Build and Development

The implementation process involves our team setting up your CRM and implementing the processes defined in the consultation phase. This process will also involve the execution of a test plan against the original requirements for any complex projects.
Note that all customisations done by Loaded are upgrade-friendly unless otherwise stated. This means that we are able to heavily customise your CRM while maintaining compatibility with the core CRM and without introducing any legacy code that needs to be merged during upgrades.

Stage 3: Data Import

The final step before exposing staff to SugarCRM is to import data from previous systems into the new centralised database. Most systems are able to export data in CSV (comma separated values) format. SugarCRM supports importing data natively in this format for all record types. The team at Loaded can assist with analysis and manipulation or your existing data prior to import.

Stage 4: Testing and Delivery

Pilot testing of the CRM is a critical step of the implementation process. We will do use case testing of key functionalities. We recommend that you get some key staff to test the system before releasing to the end-users. User acceptance testing validates that the CRM solution produces the desired business results and operates as the users expect.

For instance, Sales management should test the sales pipeline. Sales, service and admin staff should test the usability of account, contact, opportunity, lead and case modules.

Stage 5: Training and Ongoing support

CRM Training is the most critical aspect to ensure user adoption, take full advantage of the power of your CRM and get the fastest return on your CRM investment. We offer SugarCRM training courses for end-users, managers and administrators.

Choose the delivery method that’s right for you, when you need it, where you need it. We offer a combination of on-site and online training to individual users and entire teams. Get your team the training they need for success, from initial training to refresher courses, face to face or online. We provide customised training on request.
